THE SHOW, presented by Taipei City Government in collaboration with Taipei Fashion Week SS27, will take place on October 3 at Taipei Music Center. Six Taiwanese designer brands—BOB Jian, Claudia Wang, JENN LEE, JUST IN XX, PCES, and Story Wear—will unveil their latest Spring/Summer 2027 collections.
Drawing inspiration from memory, land, the body, culture, and sustainability, the designers will respond to this year’s theme, “Fashion is ____,” through distinctive creative approaches ranging from deconstruction and reconstruction to cross-cultural craftsmanship, diverse aesthetics, youthful correspondence, and upcycled denim—together revealing the multifaceted and distinctive character of contemporary Taiwanese fashion.
This year also marks Taipei Fashion Week’s first collaboration with the Italian Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Office, welcoming Italian fashion brand GENSAMI to THE SHOW and opening a new chapter in fashion exchange between Taiwan and Italy.

Established in 1987, the Taiwan Fashion Design Award (TFDA) is one of Asia’s most representative and long-standing official fashion design competitions. Organized by the Industrial Development Administration (IDA), Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by the Taiwan Textile Federation, TFDA has long been dedicated to discovering and nurturing emerging fashion design talents with international potential. Since opening to global entries in 2013, the award has become an important platform connecting Taiwan with the international fashion community, marking its 40th edition in 2026. The competition emphasizes four key criteria: Creativity, Sustainability, Function, and Performance, encouraging participants to integrate design thinking and sustainability concepts, explore future possibilities in fashion design, and present innovative works. Through professional evaluation, design showcases, and industry exchange opportunities, TFDA supports the new generation of designers in demonstrating their creativity, engaging with the industry, and advancing toward the international fashion stage.
