Inspired by the quiet presence of wind across Taiwan, this season takes three homophonous characters—風 (Wind), 峯 (Peak), and 酆 (Fengdu)—as its creative starting point. Through the deconstruction and reinterpretation of cultural references, the collection unfolds across three narratives: humanity, nature, and spirituality.
WIND|風
Drawing on Taiwan’s seasonal Jiǔjiàngfēng winds and the industries they have shaped, the series weaves together references to Aeolus, the Greek god of wind, and Vāyu, the Hindu deity of wind. Auspicious cloud motifs and shades of purple evoke the traditional imagery of good fortune arriving from the east.
PEAK|峯
Rooted in Taiwan’s mountainous landscape, this series looks to the Earth God (Tudigong) and his traditional associations with the land, agriculture, and prosperity. Mountain-like textures move across the fabrics, while ceremonial shawls are reinterpreted through a contemporary urban lens, exploring the enduring relationship between spiritual belief and everyday life.
FENGDU|酆
Taking its name from Fengdu, the mythological realm of the underworld, the third series explores ideas of ancestry and the spiritual world alongside references to Taiwan’s Indigenous cultures and mythology. Loofah fibre is introduced as an unconventional material across both garments and installation pieces.
Together, the three narratives form a Spring/Summer collection shaped by the movement of wind—a journey through Taiwan’s landscapes, cultural memory, spiritual traditions, and the stories carried quietly between them.
The presentation expands these ideas through the everyday dimensions of food, clothing, living, mobility, learning, and leisure. Collaborations range from food by Anlisi Food Group, sustainable eggshell and pineapple textiles by S.enyun, and fragrance by T.I.N.T STUDIO, to live performances by models, dancers, and musicians—allowing fashion to enter into dialogue with different aspects of contemporary life.
Taiwan’s history, culture, and social landscape have long been central to WEITZUYUAN’s creative practice. Through unexpected material combinations, experiments in silhouette, and different perspectives on contemporary issues, the brand approaches clothing as a form of artistic expression—one that invites conversation rather than offering fixed answers, and celebrates the freedom to create on its own terms.
