The forum features senior artisans from the renowned Kyoto-based wax-resist dyeing workshop SHOBIEN—Hiroyuki Kanbayashi and Yosuke Kanbayashi—in conversation with ChunYuan Jean, founder and creative director of C JEAN. The discussion will focus on the contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese dyeing techniques—a heritage spanning over 1,200 years—and explore the aesthetics of "uncertainty" inherent in the artisanal process.

Centered on the theme The Beauty of Imperfection, this exhibition is curated by designer Chun-Yuan Jean (C JEAN) and presents a cross-cultural creative dialogue with SHOBIEN, a Kyoto-based wax-resist dye workshop with over six decades of craftsmanship.
