Taipei Fashion Week SS27 will take place from October 15 to 18 at Kong Zong Cultural Base. Building on the transformation initiated with AW26, SS27 continues to advance the platform’s spirit of “inclusion and support, exchange and connection,” while further integrating Brand Accelerator initiatives, designer showcases, business matchmaking, and international market development to strengthen the support system for the continued growth of Taiwan’s fashion industry.

At the pre-event press conference held on September 15, Political Deputy Minister of Culture Wang, Sue; Pei-Ching Chen, Researcher at the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs; Chang Chi-yi, President of the Taiwan Design Research Institute; Justin Huang, Secretary General of the Taiwan Textile Federation; special guest Regina Lei; and representatives of participating brands gathered to unveil the highlights of Taipei Fashion Week SS27. Through a new venue, diverse presentation formats, Brand Accelerator initiatives, and enhanced business mechanisms, this season further connects creativity, industry, and the market, setting the stage for the fashion event in October.
Political Deputy Minister of Culture Wang Shih-Szu stated that, beginning with Taipei Fashion Week AW26, the Ministry of Culture partnered with the Taiwan Design Research Institute to initiate a new phase of development for the event. While previous efforts focused largely on fashion presentations, marketing, visibility, and brand image, the strategy has gradually expanded further upstream to strengthen the foundations of the industry. Through industry guidance, capacity-building initiatives, and mentor matching, the Ministry aims to help brands establish stronger foundations and contribute to a more comprehensive fashion industry ecosystem.

Building on its existing B2B framework, Taipei Fashion Week SS27 also introduces a stronger B2C dimension. In addition to runway shows, the season incorporates Presentation formats and a Trade Show—formats commonly seen at major international fashion weeks—giving the public more ways to engage with fashion. Visitors will also be able to purchase fashion products on site, turning appreciation for design into tangible consumer action and creating stronger market support for Taiwan’s fashion industry.
The Ministry of Culture has also expanded its fashion initiatives beyond Taipei Fashion Week itself, implementing year-round programs in brand development, business matchmaking, and mentorship. The results of these initiatives will also be presented during Taipei Fashion Week. Meanwhile, the Ministry continues to work with the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan Textile Federation to provide brands and designers with stronger social, consumer, and market support. As the global fashion market continues to evolve, the Ministry hopes to create more opportunities for Taiwan and enable the perspectives, diversity, and cultural content of Taiwanese fashion to gain greater international visibility and recognition.
For the first time, Taipei Fashion Week will be held at Kong Zong Cultural Base, where historic architecture, arts and culture, and technological innovation converge. Contemporary fashion will enter the more than 80-year-old heritage complex, creating a new dialogue between fashion, history, and place.
The season’s visual identity takes the “body” as its creative point of departure. Through the interplay of light, color, movement, and clothing, it traces the contours of bodies in different poses, reflecting the diverse, hybrid, and continually evolving cultural character of Taipei Fashion Week. Drawing inspiration from the red-brick heritage architecture of Kong Zong Cultural Base, the imagery transforms its colors into a fluid spectrum ranging from deep crimson and vivid red to fuchsia, moving between architecture, bodies, and garments. The body is no longer simply an object to be observed, but becomes an active cultural language through which meaning is generated—expressing the diversity, vitality, creativity, and imagination of Taiwanese fashion.
Taipei Fashion Week SS27 will feature 13 brands across five Runway shows and eight Presentations, alongside 11 brands and organizations participating in Events. In addition to designer showcases, this season will introduce the Trade Show for the first time, bringing together 53 designer brands selected for their brand-building vision and market potential. The Trade Show will serve as a commercial platform that combines product presentation, industry exchange, and business matchmaking.
Business mechanisms will also be further enhanced with the launch of a new buyer matchmaking and meeting reservation system, enabling participating brands and professional buyers to understand each other’s needs and schedule meetings before the event begins. Taipei Fashion Week is also partnering with CLA Fashion Platform for the first time to establish a dedicated online shopping section, further connecting B2B business matchmaking with the B2C consumer market. Through these initiatives, Taiwanese design will not only gain greater visibility, but also more opportunities to enter the market and become part of everyday life.
Showcasing the work of Taiwanese fashion brands has always been at the heart of Taipei Fashion Week. This season, Daniel Wong, GIOIA PAN, INFDARK, INMORIES, and JENN LEE will unveil their latest collections through Runway shows, using complete narratives to express their design language and brand worldview.
AISH, CHARINYEH, Claudia Wang, JUST IN XX, oqLiq, Story Wear, WEITZUYUAN, and Yentity will present their collections through the Presentation format, combining spatial design, moving image, installation, performance, and other media. Developed around each brand’s distinct creative language and collection concept, the presentations will offer more narrative-driven and immersive viewing experiences.
Together, the 13 brands will draw from their own design methodologies and observations of everyday life to respond to contemporary social and fashion issues, presenting the diverse expressions of Taiwanese fashion across culture, craftsmanship, technology, and lifestyle.

Making its debut this season, the Trade Show will run concurrently with Taipei Fashion Week from October 15 to 18 on the first floor of the Heritage Building. A total of 53 selected brands will be organized into four categories according to their brand characteristics: 17 Contemporary Lifestyle brands, 13 Made-to-Order Fashion brands, 18 Style Accessories brands, and five Fashion Showcase brands, further strengthening the commercial functions of Taipei Fashion Week.
The exhibition design will introduce self-curated brand spaces, giving participating brands greater freedom to determine their displays and presentation flow. This approach allows each brand to communicate its product characteristics, positioning, and potential for commercial collaboration more comprehensively. The Trade Show will also be open to the public throughout the event, allowing visitors to browse and purchase products on site.
Throughout 2026, Taipei Fashion Week has continued to support brand growth through three key Brand Accelerator programs—Fashion BizTalk, Beyond Fashion, and the Global Fashion Showcasing Grant—addressing the needs of brands at different stages of business development, product creation, and international expansion.
Fashion BizTalk brought together 10 mentors from a range of professional fields, completing 15 consultation sessions for 10 participating brands. Meanwhile, Claudia Wang, INMORIES, JUST IN XX, oqLiq, allenko3, and visual designer Zou Yun-da formed five teams for Beyond Fashion, collaborating with partners from different industries to jointly develop new works. Selected outcomes will be unveiled as part of this season’s brand presentations.

The Global Fashion Showcasing Grant has supported Taiwanese brands in taking part in a total of 46 international fashion activities, including official runway shows and presentations at international fashion weeks, international trade fairs, and buyer-facing showroom programs, further strengthening the global visibility of Taiwan’s fashion industry.
In addition, the 2026 Taiwan Fashion Design Award, organized by the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan Textile Federation, will take place on October 14 at the Heritage Building. Showcasing the work of a new generation of design talent, the award will lead directly into Taipei Fashion Week SS27 the following day, creating a stronger connection between emerging talent development and industry exchange.
The Ministry of Culture noted that Taipei Fashion Week is not only a platform for presenting design, but also a means of helping brands connect with industry and markets, explore new opportunities for collaboration, and build a more comprehensive support system for Taiwanese fashion as it expands internationally.
To encourage broader public participation in Fashion Week, 11 brands and organizations will also take part in a series of Events, bringing fashion into the city through exhibitions, talks, immersive experiences, and brand showcases and sales.
Two Fashion Salons will also be held this season, inviting fashion professionals from Taiwan and abroad to share perspectives and practical experiences on cross-disciplinary creation, vintage culture, sustainability trends, and working across different markets and cultural contexts. Both sessions will be open to public registration.
With Taipei Fashion Week SS27 officially underway, the Ministry of Culture invites the public to visit Kong Zong Cultural Base from October 15 to 18 and discover the diverse expressions of Taiwanese fashion through a wide range of formats and experiences.
